Ronald F. Konopka, D.D.S.

Dr. Ronald Konopka graduated from the University of Michigan in 1970. He then attended the University of Detroit Dental School, where he graduated in the top 10 percent of his class in 1973. He has always felt that lifelong learning is the basis for continued success. As a result, Dr. Konopka earned a certificate in Esthetic and Cosmetics from Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry in 1994. Today, he continues to take continuing education classes in this field. Dr. Konopka also completed the curriculum offered by the Dawson Institute in Occlusion and Reconstructive Dentistry, which focuses on treating the entire masticatory system. In addition, he completed a comprehensive post-graduate program in orthodontics from the United States Dental Institute and is a certified Invisalign Provider. Dr. Konopka continues to attend courses in both conventional and Invisalign orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Konopka is a Life Time Member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Macomb County Dental Society, and Charter member of the Parkway Dental Study Club.

In an effort to pass on his knowledge, Dr. Konopka mentors young dentists on a regular basis; he provides and runs monthly learning sessions to help improve their clinical skills.  He has also made numerous presentations at the Parkway Dental Study Club.

Dr. Konopka met his wife, Karen, while in dental school, and they have been married since 1979. He enjoys photography and has multiple interests, including windsurfing and boating on the Great Lakes. Dr. Konopka also enjoys playing and building guitars, some of which hang in the office. He always enjoys a song or two played by a patient.
